To War

When cowards rule as the people snore,
When nobility’s by servility supplanted,
When money’s paper and chips implanted,
When much have few and a few have much, much more,
When the bright light of truth burns abated,
When love grows cold and lust unsated,
Beware the waxing madness marching men to war.
